Cwrw Fest

‘Cwrw’ is the Welsh word for beer, and Cwrw Fest is a Welsh beer festival … in a castle!

Cwrw Fest has so far been held at Chepstow and Caerphilly castles and has been a fantastic opportunity to experience the ‘ales of Wales’ in a spectacular setting. Visitors have enjoyed selected beers from a range of local breweries with good food, live entertainment and a souvenir glass to celebrate their visit.

I was asked to design the logo for Cwrw Fest which needed to visually convey this unique event — a beer festival held in a castle. I drew a stylised pint of beer, which looks like a castle tower, and created a one-colour logo which could be used in portrait or landscape versions for publicity, signage and merchandise items.
